How to Get Started

Step 1: Download and Install BDRSuite Backup Server
For setup guidance, watch the Backup Server Installation Video.

Step 2: Configure Tape as an Archival Target
Connect and configure tape storage as an archival target in BDRSuite. Assign it as a storage destination for specific backup data.

Step 3: Set Up Tape Archiving Jobs

  • Create an archive job name and select data sources
  • Choose scheduling preferences for the archival job
  • Configure retention policies to meet compliance requirements
  • Save the archive job

BDRSuite lets you monitor archiving status, view reports, and manage archive jobs centrally. Check the demo video for a full walkthrough.

Step 4: Restore from Tape

  • Access the 'Restore from Tape' option
  • Select the required backup data and specify the restore point
  • Choose the destination and initiate restore
