Resolving Installation Issues: Overcoming Privilege Restrictions for BBA on Target Endpoint
The installation process employs a credential lacking administrative privileges.
To address this issue, please follow the steps below:
1. Credential Adjustment:
- Use user credentials with Domain\Native administrator privileges when adding the host.
- The credentials may belong to either of the following categories:
- Domain user account credentials (member of Local Administrator group)
- Built-in account (Administrator) credentials
2. User Access Control Modification:
If the problem persists, you can modify User Access Control (UAC) to facilitate host addition.
To do this, follow these steps:
- Type 'uac' into the Windows Start menu.
- Click on "Change User Account Control settings."
- Adjust the slider to the "Never Notify" position.
- Confirm the changes and restart the computer.
If remote installation remains unsuccessful, you can opt to manually download and install BBA on the target host. Refer to
KB:115202 for detailed instructions on this manual installation process.
