How to ad NAS Data Source?

The data sources tab will list the various environment that you can backup and by selecting which you can enter the host details that you like to backup will be added and then listed for you to proceed with the further configuration. Once you set up the data sources, you can configure multiple backup jobs for the pre-added machines and choose from the pre-added repository to store the backup data based on your requirements.

Add NAS/File Server (Files & Folders Backup)

In the BDRSuite Backup Server navigate to Data Source -> NAS/File Share. On the page that opens click on Add NAS/File Share.

Display Name

Specify a name for File Share to be identified in the BDRSuite Backup Server.

Share Path

Enter the UNC path to the file share from which you want to backup files/folders.

Credentials

You can use the already added credentials or click on Add Credentials to add a new one and use use it as well. Make sure to add the credentials with administrative privileges on the server/host you are adding

Select agent for file share backup

The Windows hosts with installed back up agents which were added through “Data Sources -> Add Microsoft Windows‘ menu will by default be listed here. Once you choose, the selected backup agent will used to access the specified file share for backup processing. Make sure the BDRSuite Delegation Services on the backup agent is running in an administrative user account.
Click on save after entering the required details.
