Configuring Web Proxy

Configuring Web Proxy

Web Proxy is a component used for communication purposes. Many organizations’ policies may have the Internet not enabled in the backup server. In such cases, Web Proxy comes handy. Web Proxy connects your BDRSuite Backup Server/Offsite DR Server machine to the proxy machine. Once the proxy is pushed, HTTP requests will be forwarded and based on the response you will be able to access the Internet.
  1. To configure Web Proxy, provide the following details;
    1. Proxy Name – Host Name/ IP Address of the proxy
    2. Proxy Port – Port through which your BDRSuite/ODR machine connects to your proxy machine (Default port number – 8080)
    3. Proxy Username (optional) – username of the proxy
    4. Proxy Password (optional) – password of the proxy
  2. Click Save once you have configured the Proxy Server Settings. You will get the alert “Proxy settings updated successfully”.
  3. You can edit or remove the added Proxy. Click the Edit option. You can edit all the options on this page.
  4. Click the Remove option to delete the added proxy. You will be alerted with the image displayed below. Click OK from the pop-up window to remove the proxy server.
