Access the Backup Console
Log in to the BDRSuite/BDRCloud Backup Server console.
Navigate to Remote Proxy Section
Go to Data Sources → BDR Proxy → Remote Proxy.
Download the Remote Proxy Installer
Click on Download the Remote Proxy Installer.
Supported Operating Systems:
Copy the Installer
Copy the downloaded installer to a Windows machine that has access to the Hyper-V host you want to back up.
Run the Installer
Right-click on the installer and select Install.
Follow the Installation Instructions
Verify Successful Installation
After installation, the Remote Proxy will automatically connect to the BDRSuite/BDRCloud Backup Server and appear in Data Sources → BDR Proxy → Remote Proxy.
Open the Remote Proxy Console
Launch the Remote Proxy console after installation.
Adjust Configuration Settings
Go to the Settings menu and configure the following:
Add Hyper-V Host
In the Remote Proxy Console, go to Data Sources → Add Hypervisor Host.
Select Hyper-V Host
Choose Microsoft Hyper-V and enter the DNS name or IP address of the Hyper-V standalone host, cluster, or SMB server. Provide the appropriate administrator credentials.
Add Credentials
If necessary, add administrator or root permissions to authenticate the host.
Review and Save
Review the details and click Save.
Sync with Backup Server
The Hyper-V host will sync with the BDRSuite/BDRCloud Backup Server and will appear in the Data Sources section under Managed by Remote Proxy.
Access Backup Settings
Once the Hyper-V host is added, go to Backup → Configure Backup → Virtual Machines in the BDRSuite/BDRCloud Backup Server.
Select Hyper-V as the Hypervisor
Choose Microsoft Hyper-V as the hypervisor type.
Configure Backup Options
Set the backup preferences:
Save Configuration
Click Save to apply the backup settings and initiate backups for the Hyper-V host via the Remote Proxy.
