In the BDRSuite Backup for Azure console, Navigate to Recovery-> Restore Backup Data tab.
Step 1: Select Backup Job for Restore
All the backup jobs will be listed and you can click on respective restore button.
Step 2: Restore Version
Based on the retention policy the restore points will be listed. Full backup restore points and the incremental backup restore points will be there for selection.
Step 3: Restore Options
Volume Recovery
Using this restore option you can recover only the specific volumes from the backup.
Subscription: All the subscriptions associated with the Azure Account to which the selected VM belongs will be listed here. You can select one as per requirement.
Resource Group: The resource group available in the selected subscription will be listed here and you can make a selection.
Region: The VMs can be restored only to the same region. Note that changing regions for restore is not allowed.
Select Volumes to be attached to the restored VM : The volumes under the backed up Azure VMs will be listed and only the one’s you wish to restore can be attached. The following details of the specific volumes will also be shown which can be customized;
Original Volume Name: Default name will be shown
Disk Role: Default disk role will be shown
Capacity: You can mention the capacity as per resources available
Storage Type: You can choose from the following;
- Premium SSD
- Standard SSD
- Standard HDD
Disk Type: All types of disk will be restored as managed disks.
Step 4: Review & Restore
Review the restore configuration and click on Restore.
