Causes:
This error is typically triggered when the system variables under environment variables lack proper path settings or have incorrect paths configured.
Solution:
To resolve this issue, follow these steps on the affected machine:
1. Right-click on "My Computer."
2. Select "Properties."
3. Choose the "Advanced" tab.
4. Click on "Environment Variables."
5. Under the "System variables" section, scroll down to find "Path," and then click on "Edit."
6. Specify the directory path pointing to the OSQL.exe file.
Example:
For SQL Server 2005, the OSQL Path is: "c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\binn\"
For SQL Server 2008, the OSQL Path is: "c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\binn\"
