Solution:
To perform Mail Level Recovery from Disk Image Backup and restore specific emails, follow the steps below:
Prerequisites:
1. Copy and paste the “ESE.dll” file from the respective Exchange Version.
  1. Create a folder under the installation directory: `<vembu_bdr_home>\bin\esecomponents\EX20XX`
  2. Example: For Exchange 2013, copy the Exchange Server 2013 “ESE.dll” file and place it under “EX2013” in the installation directory. Manually create the folder if it is not available.
  3. Alternatively, copy the DLL file from the backed-up data without Exchange Server installation.
Steps:
Copy ESE.dll File:
1. Mount the backup as a virtual drive and attach the VHD file (as mentioned in the document).
2. Copy the “ESE.dll” file from the location “<attached_virtual_drive>/<exchange_installation_location>/bin” to “<vembu_bdr_installation_location>/bin/esecomponents/EX20XX”
Perform Exchange Mail Recovery from EDB:
1. Mount the Vembu Virtual Drive and attach the VHD file through Disk Management.
2. Open the Exchange Mail Recovery from EDB page.
