Causes of VM Restore Failures in BDRSuite
VM restore failures occur without an error message in the restore report.
Typically, a proper error message is available in the restore report for VM restore failures. However, in rare scenarios where the exact error is not displayed in the restore report, follow these steps:
1. Go to the backup storage location of the specific backup job.
2. Locate the log file in that location, which contains reasons for restore failures.
- By default, the log file is located at `<backup_location>\1\ClientName\BackupName\log\Backup_Name.log` on the machine.
3. Examine the log file to identify the error causing the restore failure.
4. Check the BDRSuite knowledge base for information related to the identified error. If the content is not available, contact technical support with the log file.
5. Provide the log file details to technical support for assistance in resolving the issue based on the information contained in the log file.
