Case 1: SQL Server is not installed on the target host.
Problem:
This error occurs when attempting a backup operation on a target host without SQL Server installed.
Solution:
To resolve this error, ensure that SQL Server is installed on the target host. After installing SQL Server, proceed with BDS installation or backup operations as needed.
Case 2: BDS Agent installed on the target host before SQL Server installation.
Problem:
Error 231002 also occurs when the BDS Agent is installed on the target host before installing the SQL Server, leading to issues during backup operations.
Solution:
To resolve this error in this scenario, follow these steps to reinstall the BDS Agent:
1. Locate the BDS Agent Installer: Obtain the BDS Agent installation package or installer. Download it from the BDRSuite backup server or your organization's repository if needed.
2. Run the BDS Agent Installer: Execute the BDS Agent installation package on the target host.
