Issue:
When attempting to add a 32-bit architecture Windows machine as a Proxy agent (specifically for VMware Proxy), the user interface (UI) displays the message "Backup Proxy for VMware is not supported for this Windows System."
Cause:
Starting from BDRSuite backup version 4.1.0, it is not possible to include 32-bit architecture Windows machines as Proxy agents for VMware backup jobs. This limitation arises from their inability to efficiently perform VMware backups.
Solution:
To address this issue and utilize the Proxy agent for VMware backups, follow these steps:
1. Add Windows server machines with a 64-bit architecture (either virtual or physical) to your configuration. These 64-bit machines are compatible with VMware backups and can effectively serve as Proxy agents.
