Resolving "Tracking MetaData file for drive D is empty or inaccessible" Error
This error may occur when the `bitmap.dat` file, associated with the configured backup volume, is either inaccessible, corrupted, manually removed, or deleted by a third-party application, such as antivirus software.
To address this issue, follow the steps below:
Case 1: Corrupted or Manually Removed Bitmap.dat File
1. Click on the backup job that encounters the error.
2. Edit the configuration and save it.
3. Perform an additional full backup for that job.
Case 2: Third-Party Application Deleting the Bitmap.dat File
1. Add the location of the `bitmap.dat` file (typically `<volume>\bitmap.dat`) for each configured volume to the exception list of your antivirus software.
- Alternatively, disable the antivirus temporarily.
2. Edit the configuration of the backup job and save it.
3. Run an additional full backup for that job.
