1. Open the BDRSuite Backup Server console.
2. Navigate to the top menu, select "Management," and click on "Server Management."
3. Choose "Manage Virtual Drive" to access the list of available backups for virtual drive mount/unmount.
4. Click the "Mount" button next to the specific backup you want to mount. Confirm the action when prompted: "Are you sure you want to Mount the backup data in the Virtual drive?" Click "Yes."
5. Open Windows Explorer on the machine and navigate to the VembuVirtualDrive. Here, you can view image files such as VHD, VHDx, VMDK, and IMG.
6. In Windows, click "Start → Run," enter "diskmgmt.msc," and click "OK" to open the Disk Management dialog box.
7. In Disk Management, go to "Action," click "Attach VHD," then click "Browse" and specify the path (i.e., VembuVirtualDrive\client name\backup name\time stamp). Select the desired VHD file from the list and click "OK." The new disk will be mounted, allowing access to specific files or folders.
8. After completing the recovery process, right-click the attached VHD file in Disk Management to detach it.
9. Unmount the backup by returning to the BDRSuite console. Navigate to "Top menu Management," click "Server Management," and select "Manage Virtual Drive." Click the "Unmount" button to proceed with future backups.
