Unable to List Information Stores in Vembu NetworkBackup
Vembu NetworkBackup employs a PowerShell script to list the Storage Groups available in the Exchange Server during the backup process. If the execution of PowerShell scripts is disabled in the Exchange Server, Vembu NetworkBackup will be unable to list the Storage Group(s) on the Exchange Server.
To resolve the issue of being unable to list Information Stores in Vembu NetworkBackup, follow these steps:
1. Change PowerShell Execution Policy:
Execute the following PowerShell command to change the PowerShell script's execution policy from 'Restricted' to 'Unrestricted':
Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted
- Open PowerShell with administrative privileges by searching for "Windows PowerShell" and selecting "Run As Administrator" from the Start menu.
- Run the provided PowerShell command to change the execution policy.
Note: This solution is applicable to Exchange Server versions 2007 and 2010.
By changing the PowerShell execution policy to 'Unrestricted,' you enable Vembu NetworkBackup to list Information Stores successfully during the backup process. This ensures the smooth functioning of your backup operations.
