Cause:
The issue arises when any of the configured Mailbox databases for backup are dismounted or when the "Microsoft Exchange Information Store" service is stopped.
Solution:
To resolve the problem, follow these steps:
- Ensure that all the Mailbox databases configured for backups are mounted in the Exchange Management console.
- Check that the "Microsoft Exchange Information Store" service is running.
