Troubleshooting: Connection Issues Between BBA/BDS/BBP and BDRSuite Backup Server

Unable to Establish Connection Between BBA/BDS/BBP Installed on the Target Host and BDRSuite Backup Server Due to Inaccessible DNS/IP

Cause:
1. The BDRSuite Delegation Service (BDS) cannot establish a connection to the BDRSuite Backup Server using the IP Address specified in the Advanced Settings on the Backup tab. The IP causing the connection failure will be reported as a runtime error.
2. BDS is unable to connect to the BDR through port 32004 because this port is either closed or blocked, either on the BDRSuite Backup Server or on the BDS (refer to KB).
Solution:
The issue may arise from an incorrect IP Address entered in the Advanced Settings, preventing communication between the BDRSuite Backup Server and the BDRSuite Delegation Service (BDS).
To resolve this:
1. Access the BDRSuite Backup Server console.
2. Navigate to the "Data Center & Private Cloud" or "Endpoints" tab.
3. Under the Backup menu, select "Configure Backup Settings" and then choose "Advanced Settings."
4. Locate the previously entered IP Address and click on "Edit" next to the Backup Server DNS Name/IP Address.
5. Enter the correct IP Address and save the changes.
Ensure that the updated IP Address allows for successful communication between BDS and the BDRSuite Backup Server.
