Troubleshooting Inaccessible Storage Volume for Repository in BDRSuite

Inaccessible Storage Volume for Repository in BDRSuite

KB ID: 102115
Issue:
'The repository with Repository ID [X] located at Volume Path [X:/sgstorage/storage/Repo_X] is not accessible'. This issue may occur due to various reasons:
1. The storage volume, whether it's a network drive or an ISCSI Virtual disk, is not accessible from the backup server machine or it is not properly mounted.
2. The configured storage repository has been manually deleted from the specified storage path.
3. Modifications to the credentials of the configured network drive.
4. Insufficient permissions for the login user to access the storage volume.
Solution:
To resolve the issue of an inaccessible storage volume for the repository, follow these steps:
1. Verify Storage Accessibility:
Ensure that the configured storage volume (whether it's a network drive or an ISCSI Virtual disk) is accessible from the machine where the BDR Server is installed.
2. Update Network Drive Credentials:
If changes have been made to the credentials of the configured network drive, update the credentials in the Storage Management page of the BDR console.
3. Configure BDRSuite Service Credentials (For Windows Backup Server):
If the BDRSuite server is running on a Windows backup server, ensure that the BDRSuite service is running under the primary or domain administrator account. This is necessary to access the network drive location.
4. Check Mounting (For Linux Operating System):
If the BDRSuite server is operating on a Linux OS, ensure that the storage location is properly mounted to enable access.
By following these steps, you can address the issue of an inaccessible storage volume for the repository in BDRSuite. If the problem persists, or if you need further assistance, please reach out to our support team for expert help.
